David R. Rubenstein
President/Chief Executive Officer, Founder/Management Committee Member
Dave Rubenstein has been an active and successful business owner in Los Angeles for over 30 years. He was previously the President and majority owner of Pacific Diazo Products, Inc. which produced and distributed industrial chemicals, primarily ammonia, to more than 400 customers in southern California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah. Mr. Rubenstein, who sold Pacific Diazo to a Fortune 600 company, is a former Board member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors and President of the Western Region. He currently serves as a Trustee for Winona State University's Foundation where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree a Distinguished Young Alumnus in 2009.
Chief Operating Officer
Ralph A. Dehrmann has 25 years' experience in the sugar production design, management, maintenance, operations and project management. He was most recently an Associate Consultant for Bosch Projects (Pty) Ltd, and prior to that the Senior Project Manager for Techserve Engineers and Consultants (Pty) Ltd, leading the Front End Engineering Design process and related services for a sugarcane and cassava to ethanol, electricity and bio-methane facility currently being constructed in Sierra Leone. Mr. Dehrmann is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of Durban University of Technology, South Africa.
Larry A. Gilbert
Executive Vice President Agricultural Operations
Larry A. Gilbert has farmed a wide variety of crops in the Imperial Valley for many years, including field crops such as cotton, sorghum, Bermuda grass, sugarcane, and wheat. Mr. Gilbert is an active member of the Farm Bureau, serving as a two-term county president, and on various committees at the county and state levels, and in recent years has focused much of his attention on water matters, including water conservation and transfer issues. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from California State Polytechnic University.
Vice President Finance
Steve Passantino has over twenty years’ experience in accounting, finance and information technology with both publically traded and private equity-based companies. Mr. Passantino was recently the Corporate Controller for a material handling systems development company fully owned and operated by Danaher Corp., a publically traded fortune 200 company. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The City University of New York.
Camille E. Soriano
Vice President Marketing
Camille Soriano is a senior marketing professional with over twenty-five years of experience in marketing communications, environmental affairs, strategic partnerships and event management. Ms. Soriano was most recently the Vice President, Marketing, Member Programs for the National Association of Chemical Distributors, and prior to that the Director of Communications of the Hotel Association of Washington, D.C. Ms. Soriano received her BBA from Marymount University and her MBA from The George Washington University. She currently serves as Junior Past President on the Board of Directors for a charitable and philanthropic organization serving those most in need in her surrounding community.
