About Us
The mission of California Ethanol & Power, LLC (CE&P) is to produce sustainable energy in California for use in California from sugarcane, the right renewable resource. CE&P expects to be the low-cost producer in response to the increasing market demand for renewable fuels and green power while avoiding the economic and political concerns associated with domestic corn-based ethanol production.
CE&P intends to develop, project finance, install, own and operate sugarcane-to-ethanol-and-electricity plants worldwide, starting with five state-of-the-art facilities in California's Imperial Valley, one of the best places in the world to grow sugarcane. Utilizing innovative renewable energy technologies to ensure a production process that is efficient and environmentally respectful, CE&P will convert sugarcane into fuel-grade ethanol and electricity and other valuable co-products such as fertilizer, biomethane, and biomass.
